Profile Management

Your profile represents you on our platform. A complete and engaging profile helps you stand out in competitions and builds credibility with competition hosts.

Updating Your Profile

Access Your Profile Settings

Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of any page, then select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown menu.

Alternatively, you can go directly to your profile page by clicking on your username anywhere on the platform, then click the "Edit Profile" button.

Update Your Basic Information

Edit your display name, username, bio, and location. Your display name and username are visible to all users, so choose something professional and memorable.

  • Use your real name or professional alias
  • Keep it under 30 characters
  • Avoid special characters or excessive numbers
  • Consider including your specialty (e.g., 'Jane Smith | Photographer')

  • Keep it concise (150-200 words)

Upload a Profile Picture

A professional profile picture increases your credibility and recognition on the platform.

List your creative skills and interests to help match you with relevant competitions and improve your discoverability.

Profile Visibility Settings

Control who can see your profile information and how you appear on the platform.

Public Profile

Your profile is visible to all users. Recommended for maximum exposure and competition opportunities.

Limited Profile

Only your name and basic info are public. Detailed information is only visible to competition hosts you've entered.

Private Profile

Your profile is only visible to competition hosts after you enter their competition. Not recommended if you want to be discovered.

Pro Tip: Keep Your Profile Updated

Regularly update your profile with your latest work and achievements. Competition hosts often review profiles when evaluating submissions, and an up-to-date profile increases your chances of success.

Protect your account and personal information with our security features. We recommend regularly reviewing and updating your security settings.

Password Management

Change Your Password

We recommend changing your password every 3-6 months for optimal security.

  1. Go to Account Settings > Security
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Create and confirm your new password
  5. Click "Update Password"

Strong Password Guidelines

  • At least 12 characters long
  • Include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include at least one number and one special character
  • Avoid using personal information or common words
  • Use a unique password not used on other sites

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling two-factor authentication. This requires a verification code in addition to your password when logging in.

Available 2FA Methods

Authenticator App (Recommended)

Use apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy to generate verification codes.

SMS Verification

Receive verification codes via text message to your registered phone number.

Email Verification

Receive verification codes via email to your registered email address.

How to Enable 2FA

  1. Go to Account Settings > Security
  2. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  3. Select your preferred 2FA method
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup
  5. Save your backup codes in a secure location

Important: When you enable 2FA, you'll receive backup codes. Store these securely. If you lose access to your 2FA device, these codes will be the only way to recover your account.

Login History and Active Sessions

Monitor and manage devices and locations where your account is currently logged in.

View Login History

Go to Account Settings > Security > Login History to see a list of recent logins, including:

  • Date and time of login
  • Device type and browser
  • Location (based on IP address)
  • Login status (successful or failed)

Manage Active Sessions

Go to Account Settings > Security > Active Sessions to see all devices currently logged into your account.

Use this option if you suspect unauthorized access or forgot to log out on a shared device.

Account Management

Manage your account settings, update your contact information, and control your account status.

Contact Information

Keep your contact information up to date to ensure you receive important notifications and can recover your account if needed.

Email Address

Your email address is your primary contact method and is used for account recovery.

To change your email address:
  1. Go to Account Settings > Contact Information
  2. Click "Change Email"
  3. Enter your new email address
  4. Verify your new email by clicking the link sent to that address

Phone Number

Adding a phone number enhances security and enables SMS notifications and recovery options.

To add or update your phone number:
  1. Go to Account Settings > Contact Information
  2. Click "Add Phone Number" or "Update Phone Number"
  3. Enter your phone number with country code
  4. Verify with the code sent via SMS

Payment Methods

Manage payment methods for competition entry fees or hosting payments.

Add a Payment Method

Go to Account Settings > Payment Methods > Add Payment Method

Manage Existing Payment Methods

Go to Account Settings > Payment Methods to view, update, or remove payment methods.

For security reasons, you cannot edit existing card details. To update card information, remove the old card and add a new one.

Account Status

Deactivate Your Account

Temporarily deactivate your account if you need a break from the platform. Your profile will be hidden, but your data will be preserved.

What happens when you deactivate:
  • Your profile becomes invisible to other users
  • You won't receive notifications or emails
  • Your submissions remain in competitions but are marked as from a "Deactivated User"
  • You can reactivate at any time by logging in

Delete Your Account

Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

What happens when you delete your account:
  • All personal information is permanently removed
  • Your submissions are anonymized or removed (depending on competition rules)
  • You lose access to any prizes or rewards not yet claimed
  • You cannot recover the account or create a new one with the same email for 30 days

Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. All your data will be permanently removed from our systems after a 30-day grace period.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change my username?

You can change your username once every 30 days. Go to Account Settings > Profile Information > Edit Username. Note that changing your username will update your profile URL, so any direct links to your profile will need to be updated.

What happens if I forget my password?

Click the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. Enter your email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. If you have 2FA enabled, you'll need to provide a verification code or use one of your backup codes after resetting your password.

Can I have multiple accounts?

Our terms of service allow one account per person. Multiple accounts may be flagged for suspicious activity and could result in account restrictions. If you need separate accounts for personal and professional use, please contact support for assistance.

How do I update my email preferences?

Go to Account Settings > Notifications > Email Preferences. Here you can customize which emails you receive and how often. You can also click the "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Preferences" link at the bottom of any email we send you.

What data does the platform collect about me?

We collect information you provide (profile details, submissions), usage data (how you interact with the platform), and device information. For a complete overview, please review our Privacy Policy. You can request a copy of your data by going to Account Settings > Privacy > Request Data Export.
